Developed by producer partner Abdullah Bagersh in the Gedeo Zone of Ethiopia, this is a Grade 1 natural-processed Yirgacheffe — and it flips everything you thought you knew about this origin. Instead of the usual restraint, you get a full, expressive fruit basket: blueberry, strawberry, chocolate, and floral aromatics riding on a milky, balanced body with a lingering lemony-sweet finish.
The care that goes into this coffee is obsessive in the best way. Ripe cherries are brought to the mill and placed on raised African drying beds, where they are turned around the clock for the first 48 hours to ensure even moisture evaporation. That level of attention is what separates a good natural from a great one — and what earns Misty Valley its Grade 1 status through the Ethiopian Coffee Exchange.
